E mail chains make my day behind the computer worth it. For years I have had a group of 4 others (long time friends, all on computers all day, all in New York) that send funny/interesting/scary/inappropriate links to each other, comment on the days events and web happenings and just generally try and make each other laugh at the word and each other’s expense as much as possible. We call ourselves The Pentagon and here is a logo I created for us:
I was going to post some links and comments from today, or
this past week but I really can't. If anyone but The Pentagon saw some of these
things (comments included) they would take it the wrong way and one if not all
of us would be locked up. I shall generalize as to protect the guilty.
Today's links, and subsequent comments subjects were as
follows:
link1: Artist constructs a rape tunnel, where you go in, get stuck and he rapes
you. Is it art? Sure, it's just stupid art. Best comments on that one?
"I want to get in now before he hits the mainstream
with his next, eat-your-brains tunnel."
"name removed] has already booked his flight to
Ohio."
" I guess his -pet you nicely with bunnies and rose
petals tunnel- was not a hit"
you get the idea.
Yes we use technology to talk about farts, but behind
that is, of course, is the knowledge that The Pentagon is the final word on
what is hot and what is not, who is worthy of web time and who is not and most
importantly we serve as a constant reminder that most people are dumb. Fight
fire with fire we say!
