This weekend Jennie and I took the kids to Verona Park, which is a beautiful park that has all sorts of stuff going on. Giving Jennies Dad and Melody a few hours of sanity we swooped in and Rovered them over to get some lunch but they were antsy. Too much talk of the park plus Sean was getting tired of the hot dog song, which we spontaneously made up and are considering marketing. We are still negotiating terms. He wants 60%.
Anyway we go to the park and the kids have a blast on the jungle gym area. Check this out, they have padded floors on these things! I don't mean the sort of padding that comes in those gigantic puzzle pieces of recycles truck tires or something, I mean real honest to weaklings padding! You can jump up and down on it even, it';s kind of a ride on it's own but I suppose only to those who grew up with cement and rocks below out monkey bars. I have a huge scar on my forehead to prove it.
In the process of thoroughly enjoying the day I managed to loose my keys. No address or anything on there, apart from a sweet little Lego Darth Vader and 4 keys. I figure my doorman probably has a pair and after looking everywhere that night (including back tot he park) I figured I would have to rely on the extra set. The next day I arrive back in the city and it turns out the key is not the right one. I must have never brought down the new key when I moved in. Crap. Next thing I know there is a large Israeli man drilling a hole into my apartment door. All said and done it turned out so expensive I am embarrassed to even share specifics. Crap.
So these are not really pictures I would post because they are just personal phone pics but they are cute, and since it cost me a ridiculous amount of money to go to the FREE park YOU WILL LOOK AT THEM!
Sometimes I hate New York. Only sometimes.
Ouch! :-(
