Here is Senator Ted Stevens, the oldest Republican in the senate, ranting about the internet. Not only does he have no idea what he is talking about, at one point referring to the internet as "a series of tubes", but he continues anyway digging his own grave and getting more and more flustered as reality fades into a distant memory. What is with old people and the internet? They seem to know what it is and then they use it totally out of context. Suddenly the senator uses it as a verb, "my office interneted me". I really don't understand that generation, they saved the world but they can't comprehend ordering movies online and having someone mail them to you? Of course it all comes down to money and meanwhile he is being questioned about tons of "gifts" he received from an oil company. Probably why he has pipes on the mind. This rant is so ridiculous it's now a bit famous and Wikipedia has a page on it. Hey, we elect 'em people. Enjoy!
