Construction is art, there is no debate in my mind about that. Do it yourself construction is more specifically like performance art being that your final piece is most often something you use and go through every emotion creating. Never the less when you are in a dusty work site all day measuring insulation and Sheetrock and such it is easy to loose site of the artfulness. Splinters, cuts, aches and dust boogers also tend to suck the creativity out of your viewpoint and you can't blame it, DIY construction is hard work. Professionals may scoff but to people who don't wield hammers every day it's hard sometimes thankless stuff. Perspective askew is immanent. Somehow, in the process of it all though I found myself for the 100th time doing 2nd grade math on a pre-K level with pencil on a scrap piece of Sheetrock. Soon I found myself "tagging" each piece I put up. I started with the one you see here, "I never write on walls." Made me giggle, and not unlike schoolgirls I too enjoy a good giggle. So I made some more.
